The real catalyst for turning Sportee from a dream to a reality came when co-founder, Dan Sleet moved to a new part of the country. After being involved with football, playing and coaching, all his life, he struggled to find a community and a team in his new area. He decided that it couldn't just be him who felt this way and with the help of a few others, Sportee was born.

The founding team have all needed this kind of platform at some point, whether it's finding a karate class for their 7-year-old or looking for a triathlon club, we all truly believe that Sportee will build communities and create lasting relationships.

Two of the founding directors have previously run a successful sports coaching business and know firsthand the challenges facing a sports provider. From finding coaches to marketing, to advertising, and then delivering the sessions. You have to be a jack of all trades.

We used to talk about how helpful it would be if there was a way of putting us in front of the customers who were looking for our services. This is one of the reasons we founded Sportee, we want to help other providers grow and attract people to their clubs, classes, sessions or events. We believe our experience will help providers grow and reach their potential.
